Hey! I'm Domonique. I have walked this road before and it is much better when you are not alone. We want to be your #lansingdouladuo. I am passionate about birthwork. I believe maternal health & well being are undervalued and I look forward to helping families create bonds and routines that will instill confidence. As a postpartum doula I provide support to parents as they welcome a new family member. Planning ahead for a postpartum doula can help smooth the transitions as you adjust to your new family dynamics and get settled. I would love to make this a reality for more families in Michigan especially foster, adoption + single and teen parents.  Outside of birthwork, I enjoy being outdoors, traveling, planning events & spending time with my family.

  • I became a doula in 2020 to help reduce the disparities I saw surrounding black maternal health. I wanted to be part of the change and add my voice to a cause that we still need to draw attention and resources too.  So many people ask to hold the baby but who holds the mother? Doulas do!

  • Backup Doulas are a much needed part of birthwork. We know children arrive on their own timeline so support from North Star has a backup doula incorporated into your birth plan.
